There are over 1500 subscribers to my Seattle area job lists. That many people has the potential to make a real impact.
I wanted to tap into that power, so I started running PSA's with my job listings for organizations in the Seattle area that concentrate on:
- At risk youth
- At risk women
- Homelessness
- Hunger
The organizations I have chosen to spotlight have volunteer opportunities for people to get involved at a grass roots level, not just through donations or board membership (not that there's anything wrong with either of those, of course - the grass roots involvement just opens it up to a wider span of people).
Volunteering is an excellent way to give back to the community. Below are some great ways you can get involved. Remember, if you've made even a small difference, you have changed the world!
PSA's (public service announcements) for each of these organizations cycle through the job listings that I send out. They are also listed below each job listing on the web site.
