    Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is a Passion Catalyst?
A: As a Passion Catalyst, I work with people to help them do the exploration and take the steps they need to create a career around their passion. It is a term I coined to describe the effect I often found myself having when meeting with people in career transition.

Q: How would I work with a Passion Catalyst?
A: The Passion Catalyst relationship is built around a series of weekly sessions. Because of the longer term nature of the ultimate goal, the initial engagement is three months/twelve sessions.

Q: Do you work in person or by phone?
A: For those in the Seattle area, I generally work in person. I also work with clients nationwide by phone.

Q: What about confidentiality?
A: Confidentiality is a vital part of the Passion Catalyst relationship. No information from any sessions will be shared with outside parties.

Q: Are you a "passion expert?" Will you tell me what to do?
A: Most emphatically, no! As a Passion Catalyst, I am a facilitator, enabling your exploration and discovery. My role is to pose questions that help you crystalize your thoughts, examine the possibilities, and discover new ways of approaching things. It is not to impose my own views on you.

Q: You say "everybody already has all the answers." Then why do I need a Passion Catalyst?
A: You have the answers, but they aren't always easily accessible. A Passion Catalyst can facilitate your ability to find them.

Q: But I have (a family / a mortgage / college payments / etc.). I can't just jump in the deep end of the pool and pursue my passion.
A: Obligation to responsibilities (financial or otherwise) often leaves us with a feeling of limited options. Part of this is the "all or nothing" mentality in the culture we live in. I can help you explore ways to incorporate your passion into your life now (baby steps), and lay the foundation for pursuing it more wholeheartedly in the long term (giant leap).
